    Rosé is produced in just about every growing region of the world. Interestingly, Rosé is the closest style to what ancient winemakers produced! Blended and fermented in three distinct styles, Rosé is not only refreshing but also very versatile. Rosé can be used as an aperitif, quaffing, food pairing, or as a dessert. As one of my favorite styles, I plan on bringing  everyone up to speed on this often scoffed at wine.

  • Camembert au Calvados: You Need To Try This

    This is one of the most unique cheeses that we carry in the Jungle Jim’s Cheese Shop! Camembert is traditionally made in the Normandy region of France.   • Fiscalini San Joaquin Gold: An Award Winning Mistake

    The Fiscalini cheese makers call this cheese their award winning mistake. When they set out on first making this they were intent on making something in the style of Fontina.   • Jungle Jim’s Hot Sauce of the Month: March 2018

    Don, our pepperologist, is here with his Hot Sauce of the Month once again. For March we are featuring Chili Rocks Fiery Red! You might be familiar with this product.  It’s similar to your favorite Louisiana-style hot sauce made with red habanero peppers, vinegar and salt.

    This sauce would go great on all chili dishes, such as spaghetti or coneys. It would be an excellent  addition to any fish or chicken dish, as well.

    As you know Jungle Jim’s International Market is a mecca for international foods so we wanted to take Discoveries to Holland this month! Well, Holland and the Netherlands. Many people might be surprised to find out Holland isn’t actually a country itself. It’s actually a region of the Netherlands. But we don’t have to get that nitpicky, even people from the Netherlands sometimes just call the whole country Holland. The Netherlands and Holland have some really cool foods that we can explore this month so that’s a win-win for all!
