Stovetop (yields 3 cups)

  1. Bring 1 ¾ cups water to a boil in a medium saucepan.
  2. Add 1 cup of rice.
  3. Add ½ tablespoon of salt (optional).
  4. Bring back to a gentle simmer.
  5. Turn to low heat and cover for 18-22 minutes. Do not remove the lid.
  6. Turn off heat and fluff with a fork.
  7. Let sit for a few minutes and serve.

Rice Cooker (Makes About 3 Cups)

  1. Add 1 cup of rice into rice basin.
  2. Add 1 ¾ cups of water.
  3. Add ½ tablespoon of salt (optional).
  4. Place rice basin into cooker and turn on. Do not remove the lid.
  5. Fluff with a fork when done.
  6. Let sit for a few minutes and serve.

Storage Instructions

  1. Milled and uncooked rice like our Jungle Jim's brand Thai Hom Mali Jasmine can store almost indefinitely in proper conditions. Keep in a cool dry place. A securely sealed container can keep out moisture, dust, and pests. Cooked rice, once cooled, can be wrapped and stored in the refrigerator up to 7 days.
