So how does Jungle Jim’s do hot chocolate? We’re glad you asked.
Start with 8-10oz of milk or more if you’re making some for friends or family in a saucepan. If you want to put a spin on it try coconut or almond milk.
Once you have your base of milk and chocolate, it’s time to build upon that foundation and start adding some delicious additions into the mix. We like to think of this as harmonizing…

You could go the Mexican hot chocolate route and add cinnamon, cayenne pepper and brown sugar – just make sure you use fresh brown sugar so it doesn’t get clumpy. Once your mug is mixed and ready to serve, put some whipped cream on top and sprinkle on some red pepper flakes.

Have you ever tried maple hot chocolate? It’s to die for! Especially in almond or pecan milk. It just happens that Jungle Jim’s has a huge selection of syrups to choose from. Go for a simple maple syrup or dive into some unique varieties like our Apple Cinnamon or Toasted Pecan syrups. Add some cinnamon or a pinch of cayenne to spice it up a bit. We even have maple syrup already infused with habaneros if you’re looking to add that extra little kick.

You know those chocolate oranges that come out around the holidays? They also translate into amazing hot chocolate. Choose some dark chocolate or cocoa mix and sprinkle some orange zest into your saucepan. Squeeze a slice of a fresh orange into it as well for a delicious and citrusy variation.
