Flanders Red from the Wild Sour Series

DESTIHL Brewery | Normal, IL

ABV: 6.1%  |  IBU: 15  |  Rating: 97 points
PRICE:
$8.99  |  4-Pack Cans

Have you ever tried canned wine? Well, this is most definitely a beer, but it’s so wine-like that it almost tastes like wine from a can. However, I have never had a better canned sour and I urge you to give this one a try. Flanders Red has the perfect balance of acidity and maltiness with notes of tart cherries and biscuit. This is a mid-level sour, so it’s not too light, but it’s still approachable. Give it a try!

Saison Dupont

Brasserie Dupont | Tourpes, Leuze-en-Hainaut, Belgium

ABV: 6.5%  |  IBU: 28  |  Rating: 96 points
PRICE:
$18.99  |  4-Pack Bottles
PRICE: $9.99  |  750ml Bottles

Let me start by saying that I truly hate saisons! But, I don’t hate this beer. This beer was hazy before being hazy was cool. It is top-fermented and referments in the bottle, meaning that it changes after being bottled. I have always been told that I don’t understand saisons, but if more saisons tasted like this one, I think I would understand the appeal. Cheers!

Porter in the summer? You may be thinking that I’m crazy, but, truthfully, dark beers can be enjoyed in any season! This is a silky smooth, chocolatey, robust porter that everyone can enjoy. When I get asked to recommend a porter, this is always my go-to. If you’ve never had it, this is a beer that you must try.
