Ah, summer… the sizzle, the smells, the flames, and the anticipation. It’s grilling time! How better to further build the anticipation than with rich and complex red wines to accompany your grilled masterpieces. Plump, yet crisp and spicy, with notes of herbs, these big fruit wines can handle the hearty flavors of your grilling and stand up to a full plate, including all of the accompaniments!
Klinker Brick Old Ghost
Klinker Brick’s creme de la creme! Unique small berry clusters lead to big and expressive juice. Black fruit, allspice, and a touch of clove make this a perfect big red for your next BBQ.
Orion Swift 8 Years in the Desert
Red Blend 2017
It has been 8 years since Dave Phinney sold The Prisoner to Gallo. Now, he’s going back to his roots with this monster 8 Years in the Desert! Ripe raspberry, brambleberry, and a hint of the forest floor are all wrapped up in a jammy explosion. A strong influence of oak rounds it out and it finishes nicely with notes of vanilla.
Petite Sirah 2015
Napa Valley, California
Full-bodied classic Petite Sirah! Big blackberry notes are met with pencil lead and cigar box. Tannins are grippy, but smooth.
Dry Creek, California
A 50/50 blend of Zinfandel and Syrah. Big and smooth with jammy black fruit and spice. 18 months in oak (30% new) makes this one over-the-top silky!
