This week on The Jungle Jim’s Podcast, we kick things off with a familiar face: Johnny Catalano from The Plaza Theatre and the Catalano Film Festival. We’re gearing up for an exciting event where I’ll be hosting a screening of the fun 1996 movie, The Frighteners! It’s sure to be a blast, and I can’t wait for everyone to join us for a night of nostalgia.
Screening of The Frighteners
After our chat with Johnny, we dive back into some nerdy film discussions, and I’m thrilled to finally welcome Tyler from St. Elmo’s Steak House. St. Elmo’s is a downtown Indianapolis landmark that has been serving up incredible steaks and seafood since 1902. Their reputation for excellent service and quality is well-deserved, and they now have a fantastic line of products available at Jungle Jim’s!
St. Elmo’s Delicacies
We talk about their range of products, including their famous cocktail sauce and a new line of ready-to-drink cocktails and spirits. The espresso martini was a huge hit in the office, and I can’t recommend their sauces enough! A special shoutout goes to their Root Beer Glaze, which we didn’t feature this episode but deserves a mention for its deliciousness.
Peter Jackson’s Journey
As promised, Johnny and I circle back to discuss Peter Jackson’s fascinating journey from quirky indie director to blockbuster filmmaker. We explore how he rose from the less successful The Frighteners to create the iconic Lord of the Rings trilogy—all while sipping on a refreshing glass of St. Elmo’s Elmo Cola.
Join us for a fun-filled episode packed with film insights, delicious food talk, and a bit of nostalgia. Don’t miss out on the upcoming screening of The Frighteners—it’s going to be a great time!
