Brilliant British Snacks

Back to feed
A Jungle Jim’s International Market, our mission is simple: bring you amazing foods from all corners of the globe. Last week, we featured new Japanese snacks, so this week we’re going across the pond to Great Britain! You’ll be hard pressed to find any of these in an ordinary grocery store.
Biscuits and Cookies: We can’t kick off British snacks without talking about some of their most notable and delectable cookies and biscuits! If you’ve never had a Jaffa cake, please, do yourself a favor and try them now! They are a fluffy biscuit with orange filling covered in chocolate. They go great with coffee or tea. Enough said.
Candy: We may be the land of the candy bar, but Great Britain has a huge selection of candy that never makes it over to the U.S. Thankfully, Jungle Jim’s imports some of the finest and tastiest British candy available. Nestle Aero Bars are chocolate “filled” with, well, airy bubbles. We’re partial to the mint one ourselves.
Around Easter, you may see Cadbury Eggs pop up, but did you know they have an extensive portfolio of all kinds of chocolate snacks? Even better, you can explore many of them right here at the Jungle! We gave the Fabulous Fingers a try and the general consensus is they give Twix a run for their money. They lack the caramel, but the cookie and chocolate are amazing together!

Toffee
: Toffee originated in England, so who does toffee better than anyone else? You guessed it, the English! These treats are filled with fruits and nuts, or if that’s not your thing, go for the original!
Crisps (or, for us Yanks, Potato Chips): Burt’s Potato Chips have been around since 1995 and have slowly been gaining popularity in the UK. They’ve got your classic chip flavors, but as you can see, they have partnered with Guinness to make a special edition flavor!
You want snacks? We got snacks!
