Argentine Reggianito – A “Little” Parmesan That Goes a Long Way

Produced by an operation started by Italian immigrants that moved to Argentina after World War One, this cheese also played a big part in Parmigiano Reggiano getting its PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) because Italian cheese makers saw this cheese as being almost equal to their product.
Fun fact: Many shoppers in the US are sold this cheese as the common table “Parmesan”.
