Patricia Green Cellars has been a source of consistent quality from Oregon for some time.  It’s always been something of a go-to for quality, at least in our humble opinions.  Established in the Ribbon Ridge AVA in Oregon’s Willamette Valley in 2000 by Patty Green and Jim Anderson, these two friends have transformed their love of this area and Pinot Noir into an almost-evangelicalism of Oregonian credo.

So recently, our good friend Jim Anderson dropped in with some of the latest offerings:

Patricia Green Sauvignon Blanc 2015.  A more tropical-fruited version of Sauvignon Blanc than one is used to, this vibrant, guava-led white gives you hints of papaya, nectarine and pomelo, alongside spicy mineral and hints of lemongrass.

Patricia Green Pinot Noir Freedom Hill 2014.  An amazing Pinot Noir, with lots of red berry fruit aromas and flavors, hints of rose petal, incense and black pepper.

Patricia Green Pinot Noir “Lia’s Vineyard” 2014.  Black cherry is front-and-center in this savory, herbaceous red.  Smoke, flowers and cherry cola notes emerge as it winds into a juicy red-fruited finish.

Patricia Green Pinot Noir Estate Vineyard Old Vine 2014.  Lots of spice cake, raspberry, cherry and black pepper in this old standby offering.  One of the most reliable Pinot Noirs on the market.

Patricia Green Pinot Noir Freedom Hill Dijon 115 Clone 2014.  Red berry fruit in a suspenseful web of umami and savory characters, there is a ferocity of fruit here that is undeniable.  Gorgeous!
