Taking an already beloved foodstuff and an actual legend of the hot sauce world and making it your own would be a tough proposition for just about anyone, so when Bushwick Kitchen stepped up to the plate and brought more flavor and more fun to both honey and sriracha, we were more than just surprised, we were impressed!
Their Bees Knees line of honeys are, well, the bees knees. Currently, Jungle Jim’s carries the Salted and Spicy Honey bottles. Sweet and savory already, Bushwick Kitchen take raw wildflower honey and combines with just about of salt to bring out even more amazing flavors. This one’s great on soft pretzels, or on sandwiches with sliced bananas and natural peanut butter.
The Spicy Honey is a delicate balance of sweet and heat, with just the right amount of both to make this a delicious addition to hot and cold teas (yeah, we said it), on top of ice cream, or freshly made buttermilk biscuits.
Combining two taste titans like Gochujang and Sriracha was, without a doubt, a stroke of genius. There’s so much flavor and just the right amount of spiciness, it elevates any dish it’s used on. Salty, garlicky, peppery and hot, this is great on ramen, pho and hot dogs and sausages. Or, if you’re feeling adventurous, try it as a dipping sauce with dried mango (just trust us).
Stop in soon to see us and grab a bottle or two of the awesome creations. You won’t be disappointed. And remember: keep it hot!
