We’re still cooling off after this year’s 10th Anniversary Weekend of Fire, but we want to make sure that those of you who attended, and anyone who didn’t get a chance to check things out, can still get your hands on the best of the best (as voted by WOFX attendees). This week, we’re going to highlight the top 3 Specialties!
It’s almost time for non-stop holiday parties and celebrations, so we think bringing any one of these award-winning specialties along with you is going to kick things up a notch (and make you the hit of the party, of course). So check out this year’s WoFi winners for Best Specialties!
1st Place – Mad Sweet Heat – Candied Jalapeno Relish One might think to themselves, “Well, relish is just relish, right?” In the case of Mad Sweet Heat, we can say that that is absolutely not the case – there’s a reason they won both first and second place for best specialty at this year’s Weekend of Fire! Just the right amount of heat blends together with sweetness to create an incredibly flavorful and versatile condiment that works with a surprisingly vast array of foods. |
2nd Place – Mad Sweet Heat – Sliced Candied Jalapeno We could just recommend you read the above paragraph, but we think Mad Sweet Heat’s Candied Jalapeno deserves a mention of its own. Different from their relish, this one’s a bit simpler, but no less intriguing and flavorful. They recommend using both items on burgers, nachos and even mixing it into spaghetti sauce or macaroni and cheese (YUM). Oh, and did we mention they’re from right around the corner in Springfield, Ohio? |
3rd Place – Scotty O’Hotty- Beer Bacon Chipotle Hot Sauce A perennial favorite at the last few Weekend of Fire celebrations, Scotty O’Hotty continues to bring the heat and the fun with this one of a kind (and delicious) hot sauce that’s simply bursting with big, bold flavors. Savory, rich and darn good on hamburgers or a nice cut of steak, Beer Bacon Chipotle kicks subtlety out the window with gusto. |
