Pittig 4 Year Gouda – This Cheese Is SO Gouda!

​This Dutch Gouda is one of the more unique that we carry. At 4 years old, the flavor profile is genuinely surprising, and nothing like what you think it would be. With a caramel colored appearance, it has a creamy, robust flavor with hints of butterscotch, a bit of sweetness, and just enough bite to remind you that it has been aging for at least 4 years. 

This cheese contains little crystal pockets within that are common in aged cheeses, which are a buildup of amino acids that as an almost concentrated flavor of the entire cheese when you bite into them. This is a superb cheese, and a truly unique cheese experience!
