The Kids’ Corner – August 2022

Back to feed

Welcome to The Kids' Corner!

Parents tend to have a few run-ins with picky eaters. For this reason, we’ve created The Kids Corner: products for kids and reviewed by kids! We hope these suggestions may ease some tension when walking down the aisles; after all, it’s a Jungle out there!

Donut Peaches

Donut peaches are best suited for fresh eating as their tender flesh and juicy nature is showcased when eaten raw. They can be sliced and tossed into green or fruit salads, chopped into salsas, served over cooked meats, or blended into smoothies. They can also be used in any recipe for peaches, though they generally lack that sweet-tart flavor of the yellow-fleshed fruits. Donut peaches can be poached, grilled, made into compotes, syrups, and jellies, infused into drinks, or added to dessert recipes such as cakes, pies, and ice cream.

South 40 Raisins

Unfortunately, many of the raisins out there are small, dry, and shriveled up, and many people don’t like raisins; we can’t say we blame them. But South 40 Snacks has a unique varietal of raisin called the Jumbo Flame that is humongous, sweet, plump, and juicy. They’re on a mission to make raisins cool again.
