A former jockey and professional equestrian, Amanda brings the same discipline, focus, and resilience she developed on the racetrack to her current role as General Manager of The Oscar Event Center.
Amanda oversees all aspects of operations, with a strong emphasis on food and beverage management, guest services, sales, and event planning. Her deep expertise in culinary operations, paired with a Level III certification from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET), reflects her commitment to delivering exceptional dining and beverage experiences for every event.
Her background in competitive racing sharpened her ability to perform under pressure and manage complex logistics—skills that now enable her to execute events with precision and creativity. Amanda's dedication to excellence ensures that each event at The Oscar Event Center is not only seamless but truly memorable.

Ryan Fisher, Assistant General Manager
Ryan Fisher, joined The Oscar Event Center in 2012 and quickly rose to the role of Event Manager, thanks to his unwavering dedication and exceptional work ethic. His sharp attention to detail and consistent performance eventually led to his promotion to Assistant General Manager—a role that reflects both his capability and commitment to excellence.
Ryan thrives in the high-energy, ever-changing environment of The Oscar Event Center, where each day presents new challenges and opportunities. His meticulous approach to event execution—whether it's orchestrating a perfectly timed dinner service or fine-tuning a seating layout—sets him apart in a demanding industry. Elizabeth Gibbs
A recent graduate of Ohio University, Elizabeth is known for her excellent people skills and natural ability to connect with clients and vendors alike, Elizabeth brings enthusiasm and professionalism to every event she supports.
Her strong communication and organizational talents help ensure seamless event coordination, from initial planning through execution. Elizabeth thrives in fast-paced environments and is passionate about creating memorable experiences that exceed expectations.

Jan Riordan
A seasoned event planning professional with over two decades of experience in the catering industry. She began her tenure at Vonderhaar's Catering in August 2001 and continued in her role as Catering Sales Manager until September 2023.
During her time at Vonderhaar's, Jan was instrumental in coordinating numerous events, including weddings, corporate gatherings, and private parties. Clients consistently praised her for her exceptional organizational skills and dedication to ensuring each event was executed flawlessly.
In January 2025, Jan transitioned to a new role as an Event Specialist at The Oscar Event Center, bringing her extensive experience and client-focused approach to a fresh setting. Her background in catering sales and event management positions her as a valuable asset in orchestrating memorable events at The Oscar Event Center.
Josie Fickes
A graduate of Olivet Nazarene University, Josie is passionate about creating memorable experiences and is committed to lifelong learning in the field of event planning.
In her role, Josie has received high praise from clients for her exceptional attention to detail and dedication to bringing their visions to life. One couple described her as the "reliable 'mom' of the catering experience," highlighting her thoroughness, honesty, and flexibility in executing their wedding theme of elegant, rustic Italian with intimate group seating.
Through her role at The Oscar Event Center, Josie continues to build a reputation for professionalism and a client-centered approach, making her a valuable asset to the team and a trusted partner for clients seeking to create unforgettable events.
Banquet Managers
Drew Chrostowski
Drew Chrostowski joined The Oscar Event Center team as Banquet Manager in January 2025, bringing with him a strong background in hospitality, logistics, and leadership. Prior to this role, Drew served as a Catering Supervisor at Sodexo Live! and as a Catering Manager with Aramark, where he developed a reputation for operational excellence and team coordination in fast-paced event environments.
Before transitioning into hospitality, Drew served as a 19D Cavalry Scout in the U.S. Army, an experience that instilled in him a high level of discipline, adaptability, and a commitment to service. He also worked as a Letter Carrier with the United States Postal Service, further refining his skills in logistics and reliability.
Drew’s diverse background makes him a dynamic leader at The Oscar Event Center. He thrives on delivering seamless guest experiences and is known for his calm demeanor, hands-on approach, and sharp eye for detail. With a deep appreciation for teamwork and a passion for event execution, Drew is excited to be part of a team that shares his dedication to excellence.
Ashley Wuest
Ashley Wuest brings a welcoming presence, versatility, and a sharp attention to detail to every event she manages. A graduate of Wittenberg University with a degree in psychology, Ashley has always been driven by a desire to understand people and create meaningful connections.
Her professional journey began in leadership roles in childcare and later at Kroger, where she developed strong skills in team management and operational efficiency. Seeking a break from the rigors of scheduling and personnel oversight, Ashley joined The Oscar Event Center—only to discover that the fast-paced nature of event management suited her perfectly. Embracing the challenges with enthusiasm, she quickly found her stride in this dynamic environment.
Over the past four years, Ashley has grown both personally and professionally within the organization. In addition to her role at The Oscar Event Center, she is also pursuing her passion for real estate as a licensed agent, continuing to expand her skill set while remaining a dedicated and valued member of the events team.
