Back to feed
Jungle Jim’s International Market prides ourselves on bringing you the best variety of food from all over the globe, right here in your backyard. And what better food to indulge yourself with than some international snacks? Every single aisle in our International Department is filled to the brim with fun snacks from around the world (and of course other food as well), and we think it’s an adventure exploring them all. So let’s dive into our next two selections shall we?

Good Good Eats Ramen Crackers – Taiwan

These wheat crackers have been around since 2012 when they were introduced by Wei Lih Food Company, and are made to taste similar to ramen noodles and soy sauce. They come in a variety of tasty flavors.

Where you can find these: Fairfield Location: Japan Orange Aisle 3 // Eastgate Location: Japan Yellow Aisle 2

Did you know: Snacking is deeply woven into the fabric of daily life in Taiwan. The plethora of snack foods available on the island opens a window to local culture. In fact, one of the quickest ways to experience the local flavor of Taiwan is to visit one of the many night markets in Taiwan, each with a tempting array of delicious delicacies.

SaMai Plantain Chips – Ecuador
SaMai means “breath of the rainforest” and they still source their fruits and vegetables from small farms around Ecuador. These Plantain Chips are a healthy and delicious alternative to potato chips. Even though they are made with plantains instead of potatoes, they are very similar – you’ll be pleasantly surprised. SaMai even offers flavors such as chili, garlic, chipotle and lime!

Did you know: Ecuador features some fantastic quick outdoor dining in the form of street food. One of the best places to find delicious street food is at ferias, or local fairs, and fiestas (local festivities). Other popular places include markets, main plazas on weekends, beach towns, bus stops and at the exits of local schools.
