Ingredients (Serves 6)
1 large orange
1 bottle dry red wine
¼ cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons brandy
2 cinnamon sticks
½ teaspoon whole cloves
½ teaspoon peppercorns
Directions
Remove zest of orange in wide strips using a vegetable peeler.
Combine zest strips with remaining ingredients in a large saucepan and bring to a simmer.
Reduce heat to low and heat for 10 minutes.
Ladle into glasses, leaving spices and zest in the pan.
