Discoveries at the Jungle Beverage Month: Sangria Senorial from Mexico and Fruits of the Nile Gourmet Nectars from Egypt

Back to feed
The world of beverages is certainly an interesting one. We, as humans, need to drink every day to survive. Of course water is always the best choice, but as long as history goes back there have been millions of ways people have been making their drinking a little more fun. From purification, to pasteurisation, juicing, infusing, carbonating, fermenting, distilling, mixing, and more, we have made a plethora of beverages that you probably wouldn’t have enough time in your life to even scratch the surface trying. This month we want to give you a small sample of non-alcoholic beverages from around the world that you might not typically find here in the US.

Sangria Senorial from Mexico

This is a non-alcoholic sangria drink made with wine grapes, essence of lemon, cane sugar, and carbonated water, and is crafted by the same people who make the wildly popular Jarritos soft drinks. So if you’re looking to getting your sangria on without the alcohol, look no further!

Where you can find these: Fairfield Location: Yellow 10 // Eastgate Location: Pink 13

Did you know? The name sangria comes from sangre, the Portuguese word for blood.

Fruits of the Nile Gourmet Nectars from Egypt
These fresh fruit drinks are made from handpicked fruit grown year round in the fertile Nile Valley. They come in four flavors: Mango, Strawberry Guava, Mango Orange, and Guava. The nectars are pureed whole fruit, never frozen or from concentrate.

Where you can find these: Fairfield Location: Orange 12 // Eastgate Location: Yellow 5

Did you know? Two of the most popular drinks in Egypt are Mowz bil-Laban (Banana with Milk) & Jawafa bil-Laban (Guava with Milk) which are made by blending bananas or guava into cold milk. Yum!
