Ingredients (Serves 4)
8 medium cooking apples, peeled, cored and sliced
½ cup water
½ cup sugar
½ teaspoon cinnamon, optional
Directions
Place apples and water in a 1 ½ quart casserole and cover with plastic wrap.
Microwave on high for 5 minutes and stir well.
Return to microwave and cook 5-6 minutes, or until tender.
Add sugar and cinnamon and mash with fork or process in food processor for a smoother texture.
Serve warm or cold.
