  • Tulip Tree Trillium – Inspiration from Across the Sea

For us, this is the best French inspired cheese this side of the Atlantic. Made by the Tulip Tree Creamery out of Indianapolis, this creamy, soft ripened cheese would turn even the biggest Francophile into a fan. The cheese, when ripe, is one of the creamiest made in the States.

Having only arrived on the scene a few years ago, in 2014, it rivals some of the better soft ripened cheese makers out there.

  • Lemon Baked Ricotta – Sweet, Delicate, Delicious

The perfect summer dessert? Maybe, just maybe, it is…

The cake like consistency makes it the perfect after dinner snack, and the lemon flavor absolutely tastes like summer. It comes from the Puglia region of Italy, and is special because of the buffalo milk whey that’s used to produce it. It gives it the richest and most savory taste imaginable.

I like to serve this treat a couple of different ways.

  • Pittig 4 Year Gouda – This Cheese Is SO Gouda!

This Dutch Gouda is one of the more unique that we carry. At 4 years old, the flavor profile is genuinely surprising, and nothing like what you think it would be. With a caramel colored appearance, it has a creamy, robust flavor with hints of butterscotch, a bit of sweetness, and just enough bite to remind you that it has been aging for at least 4 years.

This cheese contains little crystal pockets within that are common in aged cheeses,

  • Carr Valley Wildfire Blue – Turn Up The Heat With This Funky Blue Cheese

A blue cheese with a spicy kick, the blue itself is mild and mellow, but not boring. The peperoncini rossi pepper adds just the right amount of heat as to not overpower the cheese, making this is one of the better blues to throw on a burger – basically, it offers the ultimate creaminess at melting point.

Carr Valley is one of the oldest, largest producers of cheese in the states, but they do it at the highest quality level considering the amount of cheese being produced. Read article
  • Argentine Reggianito – A “Little” Parmesan That Goes a Long Way

Argentine Reggianito is a cow’s milk parmesan made in Argentina, and is modeled after the world famous Parmigiano Reggiano. In fact, Reggianito means “little Reggiano.” This is great alternative to Parmigiano Reggiano if you’re looking to save a few dollars but not lose any of the quality of true Parmigiano Reggiano. It is firmer and a bit saltier than its Italian predecessor, but grates well and adds to any dish just as well.

Produced by an operation started by Italian immigrants that moved to Argentina after World War One,
