Back to feed
Discoveries at the Jungle is our way to show you some of coolest, fun, and most interesting foods and foodstuffs that we carry from around the world. Each month, we curate a special selection of items that can be found throughout Jungle Jim’s International Market that we think you’re going love, talk about, and want to share. For the month of December, we are exploring the world of Pomegranates! Join us!

Laxmi Anardana Seeds

Laxmi Brand got its start in the 70’s, when G.L Soni moved to New York City after graduating college. Being a native of India, he longed for food from his homeland. He, his wife, and brother gathered some funds and opened their first store, House of Spices, that specialized in Indian food products. The rest, as they say, is history! These Anardana seeds are from a pomegranate and can add a nice tartness to sauces, chutney, braising liquid, and curry. You can also use these in salads, bake them in bread instead of raisins, grind them down to powder in a food processor and sprinkle them on your meat or fish or even flavor your hummus or vegetables. Basically, you can use these seeds to bring new life to bland foods. Go on, be adventurous!
