Discoveries at the Jungle: Fischer & Wieser Pomegranate Chipotle Sauce and Angry Goat Hot Sauce

For the month of December, we are exploring the world of Pomegranates! Join us!

​Joseph and Estella Wieser bought 60 acres of land in Texas to plant a peach orchard in 1928. From there the business started spreading into other fruits and vegetables. By the late 60’s, they had their own fruit stand and were making their own preserves, jams, sauces, and more. Today they have over 70 award winning products!

​Their Pomegranate & Mango Chipotle Sauce blends antioxidant-rich pomegranates with sweet mango and spicy chipotle peppers to make a gourmet sauce that is fat free and delicious. Top grilled chicken, roasted pork, and baked fish; it also makes a great stir-fry sauce.

Angry Goat is a “follow your dream” story. Jason and Roberta Parker were tired of their corporate jobs and already had a little side farming project going. They left their full-time jobs to follow their passion of farming and creating amazing food products. After marrying, they tried some pepper jellies in Bermuda and Jason knew he had to make some of his own, and thus Angry Goat Pepper Company was born. They now have 10 flavors of jams and 7 flavors of hot sauces.

These pomegranate/berry hot sauces are made with ghost peppers and various berries and fruits. First they hit you with the heat and then you get the sweet. It’s a symphony in your mouth!
