Oktoberfest has a rich history dating back to 1810, when Crown Prince Ludwig married Princess Teresa of Sassonia-Hildburghausen. They invited all of the citizens of Munich to attend the celebration, which was held in the fields in front of the city gate. From that year on it became an annual celebration, which then evolved into the Oktoberfest that we know today.

We’re entering the 11th year of our Weekend of Fire festival, a 2 day extravaganza of heat and flavor, so we’re changing things up on the floor by expanding the size of the festival. Celebrating 10 Years, Our International Wine Festival Returns This November!

​A 10-year Anniversary is a big deal, and we couldn’t be more excited to celebrate 10 years of our International Wine Festival with you. Filled with wine from all over the world, bite size delicacies, charcuterie and more, our 2017 festival will be an intimate, elegant, and exciting two night event.

Lively and vibrant, our International Wine Festival brings education and leisure together as we welcome those new to wine and connoisseurs alike to the Oscar Event Center.

It’s already time to think about summer winding down as the colorful and cool days of fall arrive.

Dave Schmerr’s wine tastings had a breakout favorite with Wine and Small Bites. It was so well received that we now offer two different dates and two different menus for you to enjoy this fall. Our students raved about the delicious small bites of food with wines paired specifically to them. Look for these classes with The Tasting Room logo.
