We’re still cooling off after this year’s 10th Anniversary Weekend of Fire, but we want to make sure that those of you who attended, and anyone who didn’t get a chance to check things out, can still get your hands on the best of the best (as voted by WOFX attendees). This week, we’re going to highlight the top 3 Hot Sauces!
It’s almost time for non-stop holiday parties and celebrations, so we think bringing any one of these award-winning salsas along with you is going to kick things up a notch (and make you the hit of the party, of course). So check out this year’s WoFi winners for Best Hot Sauce!
1st Place – High River Sauces – Cheeba Gold
Always high on our lists to try over the weekend, High River Sauces did not disappoint this year with Cheeba Gold, a sweet, hot and tangy tropical flavor bomb that uses habanero and scotch bonnet peppers along with curry and sweet peach to achieve a lofty goal – leave your tastebuds singin’ and your tongue a little singed. A first place well deserved from one of the hot sauce world’s most creative and entertaining minds, Cheeba Gold is worth it’s weight in, well, gold. |
2nd Place – Elijah’s Extreme – Reaper Sauce
This Reaper Sauce, a product of the father/son team of Elijah’s Extreme Gourmet Sauces, is big, bold and you guessed it, hot hot hot. A little thicker, definitely flavorful, Elijah’s Extreme Reaper Sauce has already won multiple awards, so we were happy to see it voted #2 in this year’s WoFi voting. Cheers, gentlemen! |
3rd Place – Scotty O’ Hotty – Reaper De Muerte
A staple at Weekend of Fire since Scotty O’Hotty’s bottled sauce inception, his Beer Bacon Chipotle sauce had been a fan-favorite from the start. This year, however, his Reaper De Muerte sauce took home a Top 3 spot. This one has a big kick (that would be the Reaper), but a whole lot of flavor to go along with it. |
Congratulations to all the winners of this year’s Weekend of Fire X WoFi Awards! Be sure to check out our final installment of our 2016 WoFi Award Winner, this time for the Best Specialties as voted by you at Weekend of Fire X!
